Mail Stuff

1) For some reason, my building/room number was ignored in the shipping process, and my package was sent to just 250 De Neve Drive etc etc. Does anyone know where it would be at the moment and how quick it'll get to my building?

2) Can I send big and heavy things (think guitar) through UPS to my building?

if there's no room number, they send things back.
so it might be a while before you get it...
also, i've seen people receive printers before. so a guitar shouldn't be much of a problem. make sure it's got the whole address, tho, and that you pick it up in time!!! xD

aww man. but the USPS website said there was a confirmed delivery at 250 De Neve ... weird.

it might have been delivered...
but they'll send it back xD
i'd suggest you go to your mailroom and talk to them about it

definitely go check with the mailroom. but i think they try to figure out your room number when they get things that dont have your room/box number on it.

well according to this, 250 de neve drive is the actual hedrick building. so hopefully it should be sent to me tomorrow.

I've forgotten to add my room number for some packages, but someone was feeling nice I guess and looked up my room number and I was able to get my packages

They do not feel nice for doing that. In fact, the get silently-angry when incoming mail do not have the box#, since they have to look that name up for the corresponding room.

As a 'punishment', your mail is delayed a little bit.

lol! true, but at least it's better than not getting it at all

According to those addresses, I have been using the wrong address and I have still gotten my mail!

Altema, you are officially on the Mailroom Blacklist. :)

Nooooooooooooooooooo :(

I was given some paper that said how to format my addy, but it happens to be different than the addresses posted here :(

On the subject of the mail, can someone explain how to send a money order?

I'm going to the post office in Ackerman tomorrow to make the money order ... I don't know if I'm supposed to send it myself or if they send it for me.

im not sure if the PO in ackerman sells money orders.

but its just a piece of paper, like a check. you gotta mail it yourself in an envelope with a stamp.

Nope, the Ackerman USPS is no longer selling money orders.

The closest would be CVS in Westwood.

There's a US post office inside the CVS?

anyone know the location of the nearest post office?

anyone?????? this is urgent...
