I was surprised to learn our school snail-mails the common application along with transcript, recommendations, etc.....is there a disadvantage to this method? Would it be better to use individual college applications online and let the school snail-mail the rest of the information?

Thanks for any guidance!

It doesn’t matter. Online is faster.

High School is saying online is not an option - only mail…so do you input all data and print it or do you have to hand write?

Maybe the high school means: for their part they will mail the recs and transcripts etc. by snail-mail. For the student’s part of obligation the school can’t do it for you. You are the only one that can fill out the information-online or snail mail.
