I can't seem to find one. Can we just write the address on the envelope?

I used a teacher mailing label and just crossed off "Teacher" and instead put "Additional."

You can create one yourself. If you have access to the scan machine, scan in and copy and paste the jpeg. DD created all labels using this method(H showed her the technique). She did not like the fact that she had to put tape on them, so she put them on Avery labels.

ok...little confused... what are these labels and where do I find them?? Do all universities require them??

@elegant0dancer: The labels can be found here: http://admission.stanford.edu/pdf/07-08%20App%20Mailing%20Labels_Online_Submission%20FINAL.pdf

Something Stanford uses (only school I have found that does, but probably not the only), presumably to make sorting thousands of applications easier.

Harvard uses mailing labels too.

Regarding the mailing labels, my school put all the documents i.e. teacher recs, secondary school report and international supplement in one envelope. they pasted the secondary school report mailing label as the address and pasted the other labels, i.e. the parts without the address behind under 'also included'.. is that ok?

Yea....Same thing for me...My skul just sent all of it in one envelope....Hopefully, that's OK

will it matter if the optional recommendation comes in a few days late? i figure that it wont matter b/c they probably will not be reviewing my app within the next week (sending it all the way from DC), but i'm not sure...
