mailing on tuesday

family friends with dean of admission, dr. mark scheid,

they're mailing on tuesday.

that's all i know. don't knwo anything about internationals. hope this assuages some fear.

Do you know when decisions will be posted online?

No idea, dude. But I'd venture a guess that as soon as all the letters were mailed, the decisions would be posted.

wow, that is very soon. i suppose that means that they are done looking over the applications.

I'd presume so.

We have a family friend who taught my dad while he was in residency. So this friend is also best friends with the dean of admissions.

He basically helped guarantee my admission? But, I mean that's how I'm getting the info to provide you guys.

Rice might mail early, but I think they will not post online until April 1. With ID, they posted online on the publicized notification date, but they must have sent out letters earlier because I got my letter on the notification date.

Well, you guys are lucky. As a transfer applicant, I only find out their decision on May 15th. By then, finals will already be over and I'll be back home.

i'm applying transfer too, and last yr they were emailed april 29th...so i'm thinking they just send out notifications as soon as they finish it....

alykat, what school are you applying from? I'm in Plan II at UT Austin.

i'm applying from McNeese State U....its in lake charles, louisiana

Decisions will be available online? I'm hopelessly ignorant, I'm afraid - what will we have to do to find them?

Before I saw this post I called the admissions office to ask them when decisions would be mailed and I got a rude response saying that they had not been mailed yet and that I would find out by April 1st. How frustrating!

so is this tuesday thing not tru then?

i am applyin as a transfer from Cornell, was previously admitted as a freshman

lol. i was told March 8th that all decisions were in the mail. and now they're not mailed yet?

interesting bball, do you know rice's policy about readmitting previous applicants? i think stanford has a policy where they don't do it at all. i have no idea about rice, though...

mjoe, you were told that decisions were in the mail on March 8th?? That is 20 days ago. If that were true then we would definitely have the letters by now. I am guessing you mean March 28th?

if the decision was mailed on Tue, i should have already received it. I live in Houston.

no, i literally mean the eighth of march, i was told decisions were made, in the mail, and there was no use discussing them.
