<p>I am stuck between UCLA and Cal, but both schools want transcripts relatively soon. I was wondering, does it matter if you SIR or not before sending transcripts? </p>

<p>Just in case anyone was wondering/confused,
I spoke to UCLA and was told to first send your official transcripts concluding with Fall 2011 by June 1. And if you are taking Spring semester classes to then send your official transcripts concluding with Spring 2012 by July 15. And finally, if you are taking summer classes, to then send official transcripts concluding with Summer 2012 by Sept. 1. So if you are taking both Spring and Summer courses, you will be sending a total of three official transcripts.
I asked UCLA because I wanted to know if I could just send my official transcripts concluding with Spring 2012, however it seems they want the official transcripts concluding with Fall 2011 as well.</p>
<p>In response to the OP, I would try calling and/or e-mailing UCLA regarding newly admitted transfers.</p>
<p>Called about this last week. They don’t want transcripts etc until you SIR.</p>
<p>Wait, both want them soon? I was under the impression that Berkeley does not want transcripts including Fall 2011 before they want transcripts including Spring 2012? I thought that was just UCLA? Am I overlooking something?</p>
<p>@newsoul to clarify, I was only referring to UCLA’s requirements. I don’t know anything about Berkeley’s requirements. But, you should call them if you are unsure.</p>
<p>@nicky23: It’s leeshkeesh22’s post I’m confused about; I know you were only talking about UCLA. I can’t see anything that says Berkeley wants two copies of your transcripts like UCLA does, so I just wanted to make sure leeshkeesh22 wasn’t seeing something I missed.</p>

<p>In the section on the admission page when Berkeley talks about sending in transcripts, it says they want them immediately for up to Fall '11, and then Spring they don’t need until July</p>

<p>Perhaps you are a unique case, or there is a discrepancy with your records. What you stated about transcripts for Berkeley is not what is stated in my conditions of admission. </p>
<p>It only says to send all transcripts by July 15th, and IF summer classes are taken, then those need to be sent separately by August 15th.</p>
<p>My provisional contract states the same thing as leeshkeesh for UCLA (send in transcripts up to Fall 2011 by June 1st). For Berkeley it states to send in your final, official transcripts by July 15th.</p>
<p>I’m going to call tomorrow to clarify, as well as ask if I can send in the sealed, official transcripts myself. My CC is very large so I’m afraid that they might not get it out in time, lose it, etc. I’ll report back!</p>
