On NYU's website it says that transcripts and other documents that are sent to the school either by mail or onlinemust be sent from the studnets high school and the document must have proof of it coming from the the students highschool(i.e. signature by school official, stamp, etc.). However,my school does not send transcripts and the student just recieves a sealed envelope and the students have to send in the document(s). If i send the transcript myself and it is sealed inside an envelope , will NYU still consider it official? Thanks

I really think it is always best to go to the source for these kinds of very specific procedural, questions to safeguard yourself. Call admissions, ask for an admissions officer, and pose your inquiry. You do not have to give your name- they will be very glad to answer your question and you will have peace of mind. You could also email your regional admissions rep- that info can usually be found on the admissions page of the website.
