Main Common App Essay - need to shorten

<p>I wrote my common app essay and I am having 2 struggles right now:
1) It is way too long. I need to take out 200-300 words (it's currently 800 long). Can you please help me decide what can be removed?
2) I am kind of iffy about the conclusion. I don't know if I should mention the college's name in the essay, and I don't know if it flows. </p>
