I got a scholarship to McGill which is making me really think about attending there. The only problem is, to renew it, I need to maintain a 3.5, and I don't know how easy that is. If I'm only going to get this scholarship for my first or second year, I think I'd rather go to a school here that, with aid, costs about the same. If it matters, I'm in the combined Arts and Sciences faculty.

First of all, congratulations on your scholarship. McGill is notoriously stingy with award $$$, so good job. 2 of my friends had entrance scholarships, and they both lost them after 1st year. They were both in science. Having said that, there are many people who come out of first year with a 4.0. It really depends on how hard you're willing to work. Sorry if this isn't much help! (If I were you I would go for it)
