Maintaining GPA for TAG

Hi, I tagged for UCDavis with a 3.5 GPA and got accepted. However, this semester I'm taking very challenging courses (for me) and with the end of the semester approaching, I'm at a A/B border for two of my classes and B/C for the other two. Although I'll be studying very hard these next couple of days, I'm afraid that if get a 2.5 this semester it will drag down my GPA to a 3.17, which is below the 3.2 requirement.

Would this hurt my chances of keeping the tag? In other words, does the 3.2 GPA requirement must be fulfilled by the end of this Fall semester or can I still use Spring 2012 to boost my GPA?

Can u post ur ucd tag approved letter? For now I believe as long as u not get Fs in all courseS then u fine. Need tag approved letter for confirm.

Sure, here’s what it says:

UC Davis TAG Requirements:

Meet UC eligibility and campus requirements by the end of spring 2012 term and remain in good standing.

Units:

You completed 34.67 semester/52.00 quarter transferable units when your UC Davis TAG was signed.

You must complete an additional 25.33 semester/38.00 quarter units to complete the remainder of your required minimum 60 semester/90 quarter transferable units for junior status by the end of the spring 2012 term.

Grades/Courses:

You had a UC-transferable GPA of 3.50 when your UC Davis TAG was signed. You must maintain a GPA of 3.20 or higher for all UC-transferable units taken prior to transfer enrollment.

All courses in progress/planned, in addition to the required courses noted below, must be completed with grades of “C” or higher, unless otherwise specified, by the end of your spring 2012 term.

English Composition Course(s) Required(UC-E):

You have completed the English Composition admission requirement.

Math Course Required(UC-M):

You have completed the math admission requirement.

Oh I see. Basically u just need some how maintain a gpa of 3.2 after spring. U can get 3,17 this semester, but just rise up in spring and get 3.2 then ur in…

Yes, you should maintain a 3.2 in all UC-eligible courses before you transfer. So your GPA could fall below a 3.2 for the fall and you can pick your gpa during the spring by getting higher grades. So basically, when the adcoms add up your UC transferable courses, it should add up to a 3.2 when they receive the transcript.
