Maintaining GPA

Ok well my GPA was pretty good on the application way back when…and I had all A’s last semester. This semester, I might have all B’s. I’m trying, honestly, but it’s just harder for me. So will this affect my “conditional acceptance”, especially when they compare my older GPA?

I'm trying to figure out the same thing! I just got pneumonia and my calc grade was around a C beforehand, so I'm hoping that they won't revoke my admission if my grade stays where it is.

Me too, I think they will not reject us easily if we are passing all class even with Cs. In case of CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE, if we got revoked, we are totally loss because almost transfer applicants have to wait for FALL each year for admission (rejection/ acceptance). I think they know that so they will make a their final decision widely

I noticed on my sons my.calpoly page that his status is now "official". This happened a couple weeks after submitting his SIR

I'm still conditional. No SIR summitting. Did your son send current transcript to them? I sent them my current transcript but I'm not sure whether they received it. In my conditional status, they listed "what to do"
1. Transcript
2. SIR

No my son did not send his transcript yet because I thought they had to send a final transcript after graduation? Did I read that wrong. However he did send in a transcript with his application to the Honors program.

I think that once you submit your SIR that the status changes from conditional to official (once they had time to process it).

hmm funny, they never requested a transcript from me while I was in "conditional status." What month do you graduate btw? Usually I think they should notify you around that time.

I'm "officially admitted," however, the only official documents i remember sending in was my test scores.

What did you guys declare as your major and what were your stats?

I did send "work in process" transcript to Calpoly in March but I didn't summit SIR. I'm a transfer student, Software Engineering.

hoo wow! YOU guys are worrying about B's?? it's crazy. i got in with a
weighted 3.35 gpa
sat 1320
act 30
and i'm getting Cs in my Precalculus and AP Stats class. woah, now you've all got ME worried haha. Hopefully they won't figure out that they've made a mistake by accepting me... just kidding!! bring on the diversity!! it's so effing homogenous at cal poly. aiyah.

I actually emailed them about this a while back......... you final GPA SHOULD be somewhat close to what you reported on your app (I would say -.15 points at the most). If it drops "a lot" (you judge for yourself what would be considered "a lot"), then it's possible they may reconsider their offer. The "nothing-below-a-C" policy still applies here.

Does that mean, if there is one D, but the total GPA is about the same they still can revoke??

It is still possible, but I wouldn't count on it. At every other CSU I've checked, their statement is "All CSU subject matter requirements must be completed with a "C" or above and cannot be completed in the summer prior to enrollment." If you have one D and the rest As, then it's possible they may let you slide.
