hey...got accepted to Stern and I was wondering 2 things.....1-did anybody get an estimed financial grant? or any scholarship things? cause I didn't get any in that packet.....and 2-have you ever heard of someone who was accepted and then got their acceptance recinded because their quarter grades dropped in a few classes? i mean, gpa maintains itself, but what about quarter avgs? also, do they give u a warning or do they just send a letter back saying that your out?

I dont think that they would take back the acceptance if your grades drop a bit, I think they expect most people to get senioritus. But, with that said, dont fail out of any classes, or you're screwed

o yeah i forgot to add.......did anyone get any other info, besides that viewbook, acceptance letter and reply request? when do we ask for dorms and stuff.....much later right?...i'm only asking because i just read on another thread that hayden is usually EDers, but if we all sent in request at the same time (with RDs) how is that possible? or do we get preference?

ty, but i mean lets say like a 5-10 point drop in non-major related ap classes, for me english and ss.....from like a 90/95ish to a 85ish........o yeah i dropped a class early in the year after i sent in my application, but it was only a foreign langugage, np right?

I know this isn't NYU, but it's more selective.
A girl from my school last year went to UChicago, and when she got in she had never made a 'B' flash forward to second semester senior year: C in calc, and a few not so great grades, I think. She didn't get recinded...
I really think you'd need to make all C's or something for them to kick you out.
Also, their GPA average comes from what you had when you were accepted, so unless you've shown that you really don't care, I don't see why they'd want you out...

You don't want any significant drops in your grades between now and the end of the year. Your acceptance is dependent upon you satisfactorily completing all coursework currently in progress, basically with the same grades you had when you applied. A couple of small reductions won't matter but nothing significant. Students do get their offers rescinded if that happens, or they will start freshman year on academic probation, and you don't want to do that. You'll have to provide a complete final transcript in June so don't let senioritis get to you too badly! deist, if you have dropped a course since your application was sent in, you need to notify the admissions office of the change.
