<p>I also received the email from the Financial Aid office yesterday congratulating me. I was extremely confused so I called Admissions and they said it was a mistake. I later got an email after (last night) saying “It has come to our attention that Student Financial Services was so excited about your admission decision they beat us to it and alerted you early. Our admission decisions are not quite ready, but should be receiving official notification tomorrow!” Sure enough, I just got an email around 3 and I was accepted!! I was deferred EA so there is hope for other deferred students!!! Good luck to everyone!</p>

<p>I was E.A. deferred. I was not notify today. I did get an email about incomplete finaid application yesterday. However, the email did not say I am admitted so it is different from hockeyjew and northeastern1995 's email. </p>
<p>It will be nice if northeastren1995 can share with the stat to us ( E.A. deferred candidates ) so we can have idea if we are still in the game or not.</p>

<p>Hahah NEU what is going on?! Why are some EA deferees getting accepted today and others aren’t? I was deferred EA but brought my SAT up 170 points since then so I’m more excited, but this awkwardness is shaking my confidence.
@northeastern1995 can you let us know your stats so we can have some insight as to why you got notified before us?</p>
<p>My son was also deferred during EA. He has not received any e-mails from financial aid and his status on the portal is still the same. I was really hoping that this was going to be the week for Northeastern. He will definitely hear back from his last two schools (other than NEU) this Saturday and it would have been nice to start the decision process. I guess we’ve got at least 1 or 2 weeks longer to wait.</p>
<p>My daughters was accepted with a generous scholarship! It posted about an hour ago.</p>
<p>I’m just grasping at straws here, but perhaps they aren’t shutting down the portal for some (seemingly most) people. Could that be possible? I don’t understand why they’d decide this year to not release all in the same day.</p>
<p>Fizz14 I don’t know, this morning I could not access the portal. I will say again my daughter was unique in that her deferral from EA was automatic because she is an Early graduate from HS…so they may have just put it on hold, waited for her first semester grades and the letter from her principal and then complete the decision. Her app may not have looked at with the rest of the RD apps</p>
