Major and Minor

<p>Hey Everyone,</p>

<p>I am definitely going into engineering, thats a fact. I know thats what I want to major in. However I thought occurred to me, I think I want to major in Chemical engineering... but I really like Mechanical engineering. Is it possible to Major in Chemical Engineering, and get a minor in Mechanical or Computer Engineering. I am saying that in the same timeframe that I get my Chemical Engineering Degree, not staying an extra year to get the minor. I'm guessing this is a pretty technical question and would vary by university but I am curious to hear what you guys have to say..

<p>Would you use your minor in mechanical or computer engineering? If you intend to work as a chemical engineer then you don’t need to minor in mechanical or computer.</p>

<p>It is probably not worth the extra semesters in university. It would be better to find a job you like and then maybe go back to get a Masters degree in the field you plan to pursue as a career.</p>
