Major/Career with Languages....HELP!

Hello!

I am currently a Junior year in High School and am starting to looking into careers and majors for college. I really LOVE foreign languages (to include Sign Language). I want to have a career in foreign languages where I have to speak a different language every day during my job.

I always thought I wanted to be an interpreter, but I've realized that you only focus on one language. I want to be able to learn more than one new language. Does anyone have any advice about career fields with foreign languages or if an interpreter job is still a good idea? And if so, what major should I choose to help me reach that career? Thank You!!!!

consider a critical language (arabic, farsi, russian, etc…) there will be $$$ incentives if you speak these languages – careers could include the gov, consulting, military…

Well, the UN hires interpreters, but I’m almost positive they are required to be able to speak at least 3 languages, maybe more. So I wouldn’t rule out that path if you like languages and want to use each regularly. It’s certainly possible as an interpreter.
