Quick question... I applied to UCLA as a Linguistics major in Asian language/culture and was accepted, but after checking what the major is really about and listening to the opinions of my teachers, I want to change to a Japanese major instead since it has more focus on the Japanese language. I was wondering if it's possible to change to that major? Both in the humanities and both aren't highly sought after majors...

you can probably do it once you get into the school...take classes that are aimed toward the japanese major, then after the quarter is done request a change of major...it's no big deal as long as you do it BEFORE your senior year.

Well, I have all the prereqs for the japanese major (Japanese 1-6)....would that help? Errr and according to UCLA's Japanese prereq guide....I have completed all the prereqs...
