major change

I think I did something incredibly stupid. I applied to the McCombs school OOS and I really feel my stats are low:

SAT: 1860 (620 cr, 570 math, 670 writing)

GPA: 3.4 (IB Diploma student)

Extra-cirruculars:

Model United Nations - Head Delegate; letter earned

Baseball - MVP Award

Amnesty International - Secretary; Vice-President

Habitat for Humanity - Fundraiser; builder

Chess Club - President; Founder of club

Tech Crew - Sound Engineer

I am applying from overseas but am a U.S. Citizen.

I put the COLA as my second-choice college and undecided as the major. Should I call up UT and ask them to change COLA to my first choice school so I have a greater chance of being admitted?

No - in the end it won't matter. if you don't get in to McCombs they will put in your 2nd choice major (liberal arts) which is the "default." it won't affect ur admission to the university

OK, thanks a lot for the help.

By the way, do you think I even have a chance of getting into UT with those stats?

your stats are kinda low and your ECs are sort of generic (good, but too common)

overal status: 1/3 admit, i guess (if you werent IB, it would be over)

g/l dude
