I was told at bruin day that I would be able to change my major/college when registering, but the published information seems to indicate that it would take 2 quarter prior to changing your major. What is correct? I am currently a civil engineering major looking to switch into Letters and Science preferably on a business economics travk

Well you would be pre-business econ anyhow, so I would say just complete the requirements of the pre-major, and then you’ll officially “convert” so to speak assuming you meet all the requirements. My friend was Engineering-undeclared, but is now Math-Econ. He was Math-Econ until he finished all the prep for major classes, so perhaps it’s the same. I wouldn’t worry so much about what your actual major is called so long as it doesn’t impede your ability to get classes, but as a first year, they’re all lower division anyway.

Not sure if that was what you were looking for, but that’s just what I know from my friend’s experience from Engineering to Letters and Science

I called them and they said you can easily change at Orientation

^cqn anyone confirm that? I’ve seen so much posted to the contrary

Bump 10char

What’s the published info? I need it technically declared too for a scholarship so I needs change as well D:
