So for UCLA I put my major as economics and didn't put anything as my backup major.
What I really meant to do was put Bus. Econ as my Primary and econ as my secondary.
Do you think it's too late to tell UCLA? Would they even consider such a thing?

It's ok if I can't, I guess it's something I'll just live with.

^They’re not going to let you switch your major this late into the process. You can try, but as andrewexd said you can just switch your major once you transfer. It’s fairly easy to switch majors within the same department at UCLA, even if the majors are impacted. At worst, they might expect you’ve completed a quarter and had decent grades, but I imagine you should just be able to switch at orientation.

They would have considered it 2 days before you posted here.

According to [Reporting Changes - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/applicant/changes.htm) the deadline to request changes was January 31st. I don’t know if they allow any flexibility on this, but if I was the OP I would call UCLA admissions pronto and beg (a call to UCLA something the OP should have done in the first place, the odds of them relenting higher 2 days after the deadline probably higher than it is now, and especially in light of the accuracy of the answers you got by turning here instead of to UCLA)

The UCLA website is your friend; all the info you need regarding applying is probably there. Before calling to try to change majors I suggest the OP spend some time reading thru the prereqs on the UCLA website for biz-econ. Not meeting ALL of them will mean a 100% chance of rejection; and that’s not my opinion, its what they say on the UCLA site.

@Mike. I actually meet all the requirements for bus. econ. The only difference between econ and bus. econ is 3 accounting classes which I have already taken

1 reason I actually wanted to change my major was because in the accounting classes that business econ required I got all A’s in them. I feel like if I put that as my major I’d have a higher chance of getting admitted than just the econ major I applied for because all they take in account for the major is macro, micro, and calc.

Is that an unreasonable conclusion? Just wondering
