Dear Common App,

Yesterday, I submitted my Early Decision app to Penn.

Today, when looking at Penn under "My Colleges", it showed that everything had been submitted properly, including my Arts Supplement.

I then created an alternate version of my Common App and moved all my colleges, except Penn, to the alternate version.

After doing that, I looked back at my original Common App and saw that Penn no longer showed that I submitted an Arts Supplement to them. It was as if my Arts Supplement never existed.

And when I looked at all my colleges on my new alternate version, all the information in the Future Plans sections had been deleted for each college.

When I moved the colleges all back to the original version of my Common App, the Arts supplement once again showed up for Penn. But, at the same time, it now shows that my Arts Supplement has been submitted to all the colleges - even though the only one I've actually applied to is Penn.

If I move Stanford from my original Common App version to my alternate version, the arts supplements are all removed from my the colleges left in the original version. Somehow, the arts supplements only show up on whatever version of the common app Stanford is in.

The only college I've submitted my Arts Supplement to is Penn. Why does it now show that I've submitted it to all of my colleges?!

Even if I add a brand-new college to my list now, it shows that I submitted an arts supplement!!

Many of my colleges previously had an option in their Future Plans about whether I wanted to submit an Arts Supplement. The only college that now even mentions an Arts Supplement is Stanford. And, oddly enough, if Stanford is moved from one version of my common app to the other version, all the colleges left behind lose their arts supplements. Stanford is the college that seems to control all of the other arts supplements

As of yesterday, Penn's Future Plans had an option for the Arts Supplement, but it now doesn't. Someone from the Common App "help" office wrote to me earlier and said, "If it's not mentioned in the Future Plans, then they don't accept the Arts Supplement." Well, the fact is: Penn DOES accept the arts supplement via the Common App, as do most of the schools in my list. What happened here!?

My whole purpose of creating an alternate version of my common app was so I could correct something in my Arts Supplement. But now I can't.

Ideally, I'd like my Common App to be returned to the way it was before I created the alternate version this morning. But, there isn't even an option to delete a newly-created Common App version.

Does anyone have any ideas on what's going on here, and how to fix it? If so, I'd really appreciate any help I can get. My attempts at getting answers from the Common App "help" team have not been successful at all. They keep sending back canned answers that don't have any relation to the issue.

Thank you!
