Major Complementing a MBA?

OK I first intended to major in Engineering but I am not sure if Engineering is the best option for me.

My graduate school plans are more or less fixed on a MBA and I was just thinking what would be the best major (undergrad) that would help and complement a MBA!

So what should I apply for?

I am thinking along the lines of a major in Economics and a minor in Finance or Accounting or should it be the other way around?

Any better option in respect to what is good(Better ranked and higher paying) in ND?

there is actually a 5 yr engineering and MBA program at Notre Dame. It is difficult to get into and you don’t apply until Junior year, but it is always a thought - i don’t know if there is a perfect major to get before an MBA - i think people of all sorts get MBAs and do fine.

I am doing Poly-Sci and Finance or Economics(but not both…it just seems redundant).

I want an MBA form one of the top business schools Wharton, Harvard or Stanford.

Finance is quantitative more along the lines of learning a trade.

Economics seems to be qualitative and theory based.

Ya all kind of majors can do a MBA but I need something that would strengthen my business aspiration as well as provide a job that I enjoy working in;I’ll need a few years of work experience before I get my MBA .

I too want an MBA from either Wharton, Harvard or Kelloggs (Stanford comes fourth for me)

So which are you more interested in? Econ or Finance?

I guess I’ll major in Finance and a minor in Philosophy and Politics!

I am still deciding between economics and finance but I probably will go with finance.
