Major, Concentration, Program of Study???

hi!
I'm applying to Columbia University and I am planning on majoring in economics. However, I see that there's also a business management program of study (I don't even think it's considered a concentration...). Is it possible I major in economics and go into the business management program of study?

Thanks!

Yes, that’s what most people do. Business Management is a special concentration—basically a minor that’s a collaboration between Columbia College and the Columbia Business School. So you could effectively major in econ and “minor” in business management.

More info on the special concentration is here: [Course Requirements | Special Concentration in Business Management](http://www7.gsb.columbia.edu/undergraduate/requirements)
