Major Courses/AP Credits

Hello, I will be a freshman coming this Fall. By that time, I should have 3 AP Credits and one dual enrollment course under my belt.

AP Psychology
AP English
AP Calculus
Dual Enrollment English Lit./Comp.

I am majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Business. I was wondering if I would be able to use these credits to jump right into a few more courses related to my major and/or minor my freshman year.

If so, any idea of what courses i'd have to choose from? I'd love any involving programming/software engineering.

While those might count towards some of your credits, none of them really strike me as being requirements specifically for a business major. Depending on how structured the course load of a first year business student is, you may not be able to add any major related classes your Freshman year. (Though if you’re expecting to take College Writing, you can definitely get out of that with a good score on the Lit exam)

I’m not sure if you’re wondering specifically for your major or just what classes your AP scores will count for in general, but this might help regardless!
