Major Dilemma!!

So I've just received all my acceptances/rejections from all the colleges I've applied to, here are my stats:
GPA: 3.0
Major: International Relations
IGETC: completed
Degree: AA
Transfer Units: 62
Accepted: SFS, SacS, UCR
Denied: Calpoly, UCD

My number one choice was UCD, which I was denied on friday I'm sending an appeal, but I hear they are a long shot. So I have a couple of options, I could:
1. wait until the next filing period, get a TAG, and apply again to UCD(not too keen b/c then I have to kill a semester).
2. go to of the three I was accepted to and then apply for transfer
3. just go to one of the ones I was accepted to

My question is what does everyone recommend for my major? I wasn't to crazy about any of the colleges I was accepted to, so disregarding any superfluous aspects about them (ie. city vs town, social scene etc...) how do you rate the schools I was accepted to, based on my major, and what option do you think I should take? Feel free to list alternative options!!

Thanks!

i would definitely try an appeal; hey, it can’t hurt!
If i were you i’d either attend UCR or stay 1 more semester at a CC. It really depends on how bad you want to go to UCD. UCR isnt really that much worse than UCD.

UCR is a good school. You should check it out first before you make your decision. And IR is an impacted major at UCD :-/ Good Luck to you.

The UC system is definitely more highly regarded in terms of employment and Graduate school.

Transferring to a UC from a CSU can be difficult.
Go to Riverside.

Try to appeal your decision from Davis before submitting SIR to Riverside

If nothing comes of it by the June 1st, plan on going to Riverside. You will definitely have better hopes of transfer to Davis - use that time to get your GPA up a bit more and enroll in EC’s. I’m not saying your GPA is bad, I’m just saying the higher the better.

The transfer process will still be difficult especially because of various residency requirements at Universities, so just make sure you stay on top of all that information - speak to counselors and try getting information who have done the intra-UC transfer.

If you’re really wanting to go to UCD, I think you should appeal. Otherwise, go to UCR.

Best of luck to you!! [: Take everything into consideration before making your decision!
