Major Dilemna! Help!

The college office in my school wont let us do more than 9 applications. And my list is

(X) University of Delaware

(X) Penn State - University Park

(X) Syracuse University

(X) University of Connecticut

(X) Northeastern University

(X) University of Massachusetts – Amherst

University of New Hampshire

Ithaca College

Rutgers, New Brunswick/Piscataway Campus

Marist College

University of Rhode Island

(X) Are the ones I am definitely applying to. Then SUNY and CUNY are one application each, so I have 8 already. From the remaining schools, help me pick out TWO. I will do 10 applications. I am looking to major in engineering, or computer science, or marine biology or astronomy. I have a 3.4 GPA, and high sats are 1920, CR=620, W= 640, Math=660.

Why are they only letting you do 9? I mean, thats all I am applying to, but if people want to go for more, why inhibit them?

If you have 1 SUNY application in the mix then you are allowed to apply to 4 schools under SUNY and you can apply for 6 schools under CUNY so this on top of the 6 schools where you already have X's means right now you are applying to 16 schools which IMHO is way too many schools.

I do think that your list is top heavy with public schools and would advised you to go over your list remove some of the public schools (where admissions will be more by the numbers and tilted toward instate students making you the low man). At least with the private schools you will have an opportunity to show you you are beyond the numbers and grades. This along with your essays, ec's and recs could increase your chances of being admitted.
