Major Disadvantage?

So, I'm currently a sophomore in high school and am taking the most rigorous course load possible - except in math. I'm in geometry (didn't pass the year-advanced entrance test in 7th grade LOL). Next year as a junior I'm enrolled in the IB Diploma, beginning Pre-IB Algebra II Trig in the Fall and continuing into IB Math Studies senior year.
Will not be in an advanced math class through tenth grade hurt my chances at top school? Right now my #1 is Columbia. I'm in love with it. If my unweighted GPA is a 4.0, will they really look down upon being in a grade-level math class, even if I'm moving into the IB program next year?
Thank you!

The IB full diploma is a much bigger positive than the math sequence is a negative, especially if you are not looking at a STEM major.

My intended major is Creative Writing (thinking this might help my chances because it’s unusual? Yes that’s probably grasping at straws…)

bump. please? someone?
