So I was reading through my CALS supplement essay to use the essay for something else. Anyways, I noticed a major typo (repeated a word twice) in the FIRST SENTENCE!!! AH! I do not know how I missed this error, as I read it over and over. But I think when I edited the sentence the word was somehow repeated. I turned in my application a while ago. Does this pretty much ruin my chances? :(

Shouldn’t be too bad. As long as you don’t have consistent errors throughout the entire essay I am sure that they will excuse the mistake.

No I think the rest of the essay is fine. But it is just that this is the first sentence and a very obvious mistake.

“…can catastrophically alter one’s lifestyle or just simply determine how we dress or.”

The ‘or’ at the end is the error as it should not be there.

I had a booboo just like that in my essay. I made it here.

Thanks for the responses! I sure hope you guys are right.
