Major for Firefighting?

<p>If anyone has an alternative career option that requires me to use my body more rather than my brain (such as a researcher), please feel free to post.</p>

<p>No major will require you to use your body more than your brain…except perhaps Dance (Theater maybe but that’s a stretch) although that’s more artistic. Actually, your best bet would be to attend community college where they actually offer classes related to firefighting (e.g. PCC has a fire technology program)…or become an EMT and work your way up to become a firefighter. The UCs don’t really have anything like what you’re looking for. Maybe you can pick up a sport on the side or volunteer in something firefighting related. Sorry if that wasn’t helpful.</p>

<p>Lol not to be rude, but the fire department is not going to scruitinize you over what you majored in, having a bachelors alone, one would think, would be more than impressive in the eyes of fire department recruiters. I would just pick a flexible major so you have a fall back option, should you ever decide to back out of firefighting.</p>
