Major frustration

My parents were good enough to spend the $ on a SAT Prep 10 week course and I am now in week 7. I am very frustrated because my scores continue to go up and down. Every week I memorize 40 or so vocab words and complete a SAT test from the collegeboard blue book, along with a grammar package. My instructor goes over the questions I missed and gives me the next weeks assignment. When I express my concern with my instructor, she reassures me that this is normal and I will do better on the actual test in Oct. She also says the Oct. test will have a curve to it and that is a plus. Initially I was told I could increase my score about 300 pts. and I did that ONE week. Anyone else had this problem? I plan on completing the last three weeks but I am very disappointed that the increase hasn't been steady and hasn't been closer to 200 or 250 pts. I felt like a 300 pt. increase might be asking too much but had I known I would be doing all this work and my parents paying all this money for maybe just a 150 pt. increase.....I'm not sure if I would have done it.

Your fluctuating performance levels are probably due to a lack of full concentration. Engage yourself in the test as best as possible, find the best method, and enhance that method so you can stick with it.
