Major GPA vs. Overall GPA question

Currently, my overall GPA is a 2.48 while my major GPA is a 3.11 (really did poorly in several general education classes).

I am applying for internships related to civil engineering (my major). Two questions
a) Which GPA should I list on my resume? Both? none? or one of the two?
b) Would I technically have no shot at any position with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and higher? or should I apply anyways because of my major GPA?
c) How would I emphasize that I've done better in my civil engineering classes?

A lot of internships I see have a minimum GPA of 2.5-2.8 and that 0.02 pts is killing me right now for some great internships.

Thanks!

Save yourself some heartache and list your major GPA on your resume. Stipulate that is IS your major GPA. Once they see that you have done well in your engineering coursework, I would doubt they would quibble over .02 points in your overall GPA, if they even asked for it.

Use your engineering skills to answer this for yourself.
The cutoff is 2.5 and you have a 2.48
Now watch as I perform magic.
Put 2.48 into your TI-84+ calculator.
Now go to mode, where it says float scroll over and select 1.
Now go back to the main screen and enter 2.48.

Spoiler Alert
A 2.48 is a 2.5
On your resume:
Major GPA: 3.1; Cum GPA: 2.5
