MAJOR HELP with CSS PROFILE?

Ok guys so I've finished the form but I haven't sent it yet because my mom hasn't filed her latest taxes.

I estimated everything, but I'm really just confused about one thing: Once my mom files her taxes can I go back and update the them ONLINE? I been hearing that you need to print out individual forms and send them separately to each school!

Also, if I were to use a fee waiver, would they charge me the second time around? Thanks.

That’s correct. See this school’s profile instructions as an example [Profile Instructions](<a href=“Home | Financial Aid”>Home | Financial Aid)

Ice…you need to call EACH school to find out how THEY want the Profile updated. Some will want a printed copy with corrections. Some participate in IDOC and will want 2013 info sent to IDOC. Some will just use the IRS data retrieval tool when you do the FAFSA.

You have to ask EACH school. DD had 3 to update and each one had a different procedure for doing so!

Don’t you think it’s a little costly to print out an application for each school with an update - and mail it to them?

It costs 44 cents to mail a letter. I’m not sure I think that’s excessive. You can make copies for 10 cents a piece at staples. What would the max total be? I can’t imagine the total will be more than $25.

thumper: I guess i’ll get on to contacting the schools individually. I can see how snail mail is affordable for some, but I thought they’d at least think of people who are dirt poor. “maybe 50$” is A LOT of $.

c’est la vie i guess :/
