Major: History? Enviromental Studies? Spanish?

I am a first year college student at a liberal arts school. I am already considered a sophomore due to many credits I got in high school. Because of this I don't have as much time to decide on a major.

I love learning about history. It is just fascinating to me. I am currently taking a history class. I love it and am doing very well. However, I don't know what I would do with this major. I'm not interested in the jobs most history majors get.

I have always loved animals and nature so I thought I would also love environmental studies. I am in one class and I do not get very excited about what I am learning. This class is a first year course so that could be why it isn't interesting to me. I like sustainability and the environment but I'm not sure I like learning about it.

I am good at Spanish. I'd definitely love studying abroad to get better. My spanish class now is a lot of grammar but as I get better it should be more conversational. I love the language and the cultures associated with Spanish. Will a major in only Spanish be beneficial? I feel like it is usually paired with other majors.

What do you guys think about my major options? Which are most beneficial? Does it matter which I pick if I go to grad school and possibly go for my PhD after that?
Thanks!

It depends what you’d want to go to grad school for.

I’d definitely say minor in Spanish, because it will look very good for future employment and then you can do something else for your major (people who major in just a language and don’t double major with anything else–I feel like they get limited options).

Maybe do volunteer hours at a museum or at a group that does environmental/sustainability work, and see which you like best. That will help give you a better idea of what career path to go towards after you graduate.
