I am planning on majoring in biology for college and fulfil my dream of becoming going to medical school and I was wondering if minoring in music was a good idea to compliment with biology. I have been playing the piano for 12 years and want to continue my music education in college.
Sure, as long as you don’t have to compromise one for the sake of the other. I have come across folks trying major, minor or double major combinations as rare and unique as chemistry and philosophy and doing extremely well and continuing with medical education later on.
… also music has a wholesome effect on mind, body and soul …
don’t forget that you will have to balance whatever you pursue with your medical related extra curricular too though.
Do you need to minor?
Can you just take some classes?
Can you just be in some kind of orchestra/ensemble?
