If i want to become either a 5th or 6th grade teacher in Pennsylvania, it is best to take Elementary Education as my undergrad major. I was thinking i could take that as my major and minor in psychology. Also, is it an option to major in something else related to education and then get a masters in education?

Sure. Go for it. Psychology will definitly help you have new perspectives and understanding in your life as well as the lives of your students.

I know most schools I looked at with an elementary education undergrad program, you get your CERTIFICATION in elementary education (k-6), and you major in something else along with that. That’s what I’m doing (elementary ed and either psych or communications), and I’m pretty sure that’s how most schools are now.
