Major: Marketable or enjoyable?

<p>Sometimes what you love and are good at in college doesn’t translate to the working world. I majored in advertising but discovered in my early jobs that I was a good writer but I that I hated change and lacked vision… You can’t excel in advertising if you’d rather everything stay the same all the time! I switched to public accounting (I had nearly failed my accounting classes in college), which fits my personality much better and it’s worked out for the best. But I never would have guessed that in college.</p>
