<p>Can a take a history course and have it count towards both my major (political and social thought) and my minor (history)?</p>
<p>It would be great to kill two birds with one stone.</p>
<p>oh and if I take a political theory course to complete an area requirement can it count towards my major also?</p>

<p>there are only a handful of classes that cross over majors (the only one i can think of is an envirmental science/econ class). as far as I know there are none in the history department which cross into other majors...although there could possibly be some in the politics department that go both ways. i havn't taken a polysci class or looked into the department. even if they do, i'm not too sure that it can count for both. you probably have to choose which you are applying it to.</p>
