<p>Why can't students in the College of Arts and Sciences get a Business minor at the School of Applied Economics and Management?</p>
<p>You can’t (generally) minor across colleges; and AEM is in another college (CALS). AEM is a more specialized program than most other business-related majors in the university (Econ in CAS for example).</p>
<p>Actually you can minor in anything, regardless of college. You can’t have another major in a different college though.</p>
<p>you generally can have a minor across colleges (like jadore317 said) but AEM is the exception. I assume AEM is restricted to CALS because they just can’t accommodate too many people in the classes.</p>
<p>There is also a special business minor in AEM for Engineers, but in general it’s restricted to CALS students.</p>
<p>To minor in AEM, you need to either:
- Be in CALS
- Be a pre-med student
- Be an engineer</p>
