Hi im just starting to look into a pre-med path in college. Is it viable for a bio med eng. major and spanish minor. If not whats a more doable major/minor

It doesn’t really matter what your major is, as long as you take all the science and math pre-reqs. It is somewhat easier to fit all that in as a science major, plus you can take more biology classes that may help you down the line. Apparently med schools don’t care at all about your minor, but Spanish is good so as a dr. you can speak to Spanish-speaking patients. (from a Spartan mom)

Any engineering is much harder than other majors. However, Spanish is easy. So, you are the one to decide based on your abilities.

Spanish is a great asset at Med. School. It opens more opportunities. D. did not have Spanish minor (she had Music minor), she had only one semester of Spanish, but she was able to speak after and continued taking Medical Spanish while in Med. School. She was selected for the trip abroad that had more applicants than available spots and it was a great experience (although expansive one)
