<p>Under the work experience section of the common app, under the pressure of my parents (who think they know everything -_-) I placed volunteer work there as well! </p>
<p>I have already sent out my common app to some of the colleges to which I'm applying. I'm scared to death right now that they will realize that some of my work experience is actually volunteer work! (Because of some other information in the common app, they will realize if they pay attention!)</p>
<p>So the question is, does it really matter if the work is paid or not? Can volunteering be counted as work experience? (I mean, depends on interpretation, right?) </p>
<p>Or am I simply doomed >___<</p>
