I’m a transfer student from Seattle Central College and applied for CS Department at UW for Fall 2016. My unofficial transcript has been loaded with major COMPUTER SCIENCE on it. Could I take that as a firm indicator of getting into the major instead of pre-science? I’m eager to know because I need to get back to Georgia Tech and UT Austin in three days
Also, myUW page changed to congratulations but didn’t specify the major. Haven’t got my big envelop yet.
I just talked to a CSE advisor today and she said they have not officially sent out any decisions yet. So it may take a few days for you to get an email or letter from the department. I’ve seen on previous year’s thread that people can wait weeks for an official notice
I believe so. I know in previous years, people who had their transcript load, got their official offer to UW CSE at some point. But, last year alone, I saw a few people wait 2-3 weeks for that to happen!
@thaipq WHAT?? That was fast! So awesome!! Congrats!
Now I wonder if the person I talked to today was telling the truth or just wanted to stop talking to me. . .She said they had not sent any official letters out.
Do you know what days the Orientation sessions are?
@CompSci18 sorry I haven’t been around. I got a 3.99 from Seattle Central. TAed for CSC143 classes and have a paper about the 3D printer programming written together with my mentor at Central
