Major Prerequisites for UCSC

<p>I was considering also applying to UCSC for Computer Engineering, but one ethics course articulates that I haven't taken and I won't have time to take it. Will UCSC automatically reject me for not having this course? I've heard other UCs will, but I would like to apply to UCSC if I know they won't auto-reject me.</p>

<p>As long as tr major is not impacted and you have most of the prerequisites, it shouldn’t be a problem.</p>

<p>UCSC requires additional screening for engineering majors:

Jack Baskin School of Engineering: Acceptance into any Jack Baskin School of Engineering (BSOE) major will be based on completion of and grades earned in the individual department’s foundation courses, in addition to the overall college academic record. The foundation courses required for admission to BSOE majors are described at ugrad.soe.ucsc.edu/admissions.
