major problem! please help!!

lol it sounded like he was scolding me

blatantly guilty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and even more blatantly fools

So if Drexel isn't the real school, what is?

im not gonna say the real school! -probably wouldnt be safe, as ppl pointed out earlier

If the two of you had done this with a paper for a class, you would both get a zero, and brought up to whatever judicial system your school has for plaguerism. It would be interesting to see the two of you trying to weasel your ways out of that one. Of course, you would both be in trouble.

Do talk to someone in the school who is sympathetic to the two of you, a favorite teacher, someone, to come to a course of action. I do believe you will both have to withdraw your apps from Drexel and write some form of apology to the university, but as to what they will do about your other colleges, I don't know. Many schools would let that fly, perhaps put you on probation, withdraw your honor society designation. I think by going through a teacher advocate, you will do better, and if THE TWO OF YOU come clean, it will definitely be better. If Drexel catches wind of this and contacts the school, it is likely you will get the book thrown at you.

You learned a valuable lesson, but will you learn from this experience?

hopeful1 - that doesn't make sense...

OK genius, you were both rejected from Drexel and I assume you had more of a role in this than you state. This is assuming that this is not a hoax.

i had more of a role in this than i state??? do you even make sense??

He realized he erred, now will he do the right thing and correct his problem

Wow, OP, you're in a whole caboose of trouble right now. I knew two students last year who the same thing happened to, only they MISTAKENLY sent in the same essay. Even though they explained what happened, they both were blacklisted and had to go to colleges that were much lower than their level of ability. Each of the students had steller stats, however, and still ended up at semi-respectable schools. You say you both got rejected from Drexel, which leads me to believe that your stats aren't outstanding. If I were you, I would start looking at state universities or maybe consider taking a year off and reapplying. Perhaps your guidance counsellor can write a letter explaining what happened. In the case of the two students I mentioned before, the guidance counsellor refused to write a letter because of a personal vendetta against the students. Good luck.

Furthermore, the schools you do end up at will "watch you like a hawk" and you will have no room to cheat or plagiarize ever again. Although I don't necessarily agree that both of you are jackasses, you both definitely DID suffer from a (I hope) temporary lapse of judgement.

You screwed your friend by submitting an application to compete with his/hers when you had no interest in the program, and apparently also misrepresented yourself by submitting an essay that was supposed to represent your friend's point of view (but not necessarily your own) on some topic. If I were your friend I would have nothing to do with you from now on, and if I were your friend's parent that's exactly what I would advise him/her to do. Being overcome by some evil spirit just doesn't serve as an excuse, and if you're that easily "overcome by evil" you're not someone I would trust as a friend.

On top of that, the school may well have rejected both of you because they spotted the duplicate essays.
