Major Problems with Profile

Forgive me if this is a stupid question but...

I filled out Profile at the end of October for a school I applied EA to. Of course, I had to use 2008 tax info because the 2009 fiscal year wasn't even over yet. My parents just completed their 2009 tax return, so I was going to go fix the outdated information with the new. Apparently I can't change it?? Should I print out the PDF form and mail it to all the colleges? I'm really confused. Its not just small changes, my parents income changed rather significantly.

Thanks so much for your help!

you cant change the 2009-2010 but you can submit the 2010-2011. once you open it up, it will be populated with the original data you submitted, but it is in this years form that you submit the updated information. The suggestion from the profile is to print out this info and note the changes, then enter the corrected information. This is a much easier way to correct the information.

the good news is that they do not charge you again to send the info to the original school, only any new schools you might want to send the info too.

You can’t update the form to change what you submitted to that school, only to schools you add to receive the PROFILE. Only the new schools will receive a PROFILE with the new info. For your EA school, you should print a copy of the pages that that have changed info, cross out the info that has changed, and write in the correct info. Then send it to the EA school. That’s the advice I’ve seen from CSS and CC.
