Would it be better to declare a major or apply undecided on the freshmen application (in terms of helping you to get in)?

I recently went to a program with this college and they told the parents that they needed people in pre-dentistry and agriculture so i was wondering if it was better to apply in one of those and then change.

Thanks

If you're doing it for an easier entrance, yes it might be worth it. However, you'll have to gear at least an essay to showing WHY you want to go into pre-dentistry/agriculture because you certainly won't have an EC to show interest if you're doing it for a boost in admissions. Some schools also require you to apply to a certain college within it for that boost (such as Cornell) which means that you'll have to go to the hassle of transfering out.
