Major Question

If Psychology is a relatively easy major, why don't all pre-meds major in psych?

Some are hard working and don’t want to take the “easy route”

Some don’t realize it’s easy or think it through

Some want a major that they could actually get a job in if they don’t get into med school.

Some pick a major based on what they actually enjoy doing in hopes of that helping them do better.

There are endless amounts of reasons

Because they’re not particularly interested in the field and would rather spend 4 years of their life studying something they actually like?

Perhaps they like something better??? Doh!

thanks for some of your comical responses. The “easy” route would allow medical students to explore other opportunities, research, volunteer, etc.

It’s not “easy” if you find the subject boring.

^^Exactly, my D contemplated majoring in Psych and she reported that the ‘soft-psych’ classes were not only boring, but repetitive. As a result it was had to stay awake in class – more likely, there was no need to.
