I was wondering if anyone knew of a career path that involves major aspects in business and management but where you're not stuck in an office doing paperwork the whole day? And if so, what would you major in?

This is hard to interpret... is being stuck in the office bad, or doing paperwork worse, or both, what?

Careers that are less monotonous paperwork, and more analytical, communication, and problem solving, are: (However, you still may spend much time in an office, just not doing a bunch of boring paperwork)

Auditor (best major is Accounting). here's a quote about the auditor position from www.embark.com: "An average internal auditor spends a surprisingly small (35) percent of her time on paperwork, document review, and (usually computerized) accounting procedures, while the remainder is spent either on the phone, traveling to different locations, or meeting with executives, clients, representatives, and other divisional auditors."

Other jobs (major leading to it) with lower amounts of paperwork:

FBI agent (accounting, business). Entrepreneur (any). Management Consultant (any business, MBA). Outside Salesman (any).

maybe civil engineering, architecture, construction

I will add a couple of off the wall ones ..................

Construction management
Outdoor Management
Sports manangement

All include business and management issues - but not run of the mill behind a desk, shuffle papers all day types.

If you like math, look into actuarial work or operations research. These are more research and problem-solving based rather than loads of busy-work.
