Major Selection and chance

<p>I am torn between majors: either finance through the number one nationally ranked mendoza school of business and finance through the college of arts and science. I really really really want to get into notre dame and was wondering if major selection will have an effect on acceptance? </p>

<p>Also, would anyone care to chance me?</p>

GPA: 3.68/ 3.97 (top 100 nationally ranked high school)
Class Not Ranked</p>

<p>ECs:
Football
Lacrosse
Rugby
Student house of reps
Founded a math tutoring business
Built houses in mexico with local church
volunteered in school's resource room (common app essay centered on this)
I feel that my essays were good and letters of rec strong</p>

<p>As said many times here, you don’t declare a major right away. All freshmen are in First Year of Studies Program. Therefor, major has no effect on acceptance.</p>
