Hey guys i was wondering for UC's is it easier to get accepted if i major in ecology than in biology? Biology is always impacted, but i don't know the same for ecology....

Will i be able to switch my major later?

Biology is not necessarily impacted at every UC campus, and many UC campuses do not admit by major in the main Letters and Science division.

For example, at Berkeley, all Letters and Science freshmen enter undeclared. Where impacted majors have an effect is that students must apply to declare the major, rather than just declaring after passing the prerequisites. But the two main biology majors are not impacted (they are the first and fourth largest undergraduate majors on campus). Some smaller biology major

Other UC campuses may be different.
