Major Selection

Hi everyone,

I recently was admitted into the School of Arts and Sciences and I have some questions on the majors that they offer, and transferring schools.

  1. I know that Rutgers offers some sort of Information Technology major in the School of Arts and Sciences. However, when I read more information about it, it said that I take courses in both the School of communication and School of Arts and Sciences. Would I still be able to declare this major despite not applying to the School of communication? Also, some.people said that you may not be able to declare this major after you accept the offer from the School of Arts and Sciences. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

  2. If I am not able to declare the Information Technology major from the school of Arts and Sciences, would I be able to go into the fall semester as an undecided major, and then potentially transfer into the business school my sophomore year, provided I have the grades?

Thank you for all of your responses!!
