In all likelyhood, I'll major in Honors Biology and Math if I decide to come here...... hopefully, I can get into med school afterwards.

What about you?

Also, I was wondering if someone could enlighten me on how difficult Honors Math is..... can I skip the 295/296 courses and go straight to 395/396? I'll have already taken Real Analysis, so will 395/396 be a review for me.......? Confused.

Search this forum for Honors Math - there's been a few threads on it. Bisbis12 writes that his brother took the honors sequence and was challenged, starting with the 295/296. I know it's possible to skip - I believe I know an ARML contestant from here that skipped 295/296, but he did take the course his senior year (he lives close to Ann Arbor.)

It's probably going to depend on exactly how tough your math courses have been - are they CC courses or are they from a good college math department? You might try looking up the syllabus for math 295/296 and comparing it to what you've done so far.

Hey, Fred :-)

I know a high schooler (Yongwhan Lim) who took MTH 295-296 10th grade and got an A+ on it. He's taking 395-396 this year. So maybe it isn't as bad as you think.

I also want to major in Honors Math at U of M, too! It looks pretty cool.
