Majoring Architecture: Cooper Union VS Cornell

I can say architecture is my everything, and of course, I have decided to major in architecture. After I become professional architect, I want to design a building which would be more idealistic, unique and eccentric in design. So I have researched for lots of schools and decided to choose between Cooper Union and Cornell for early decision. Even though cornell has 5 year BA to work at professional field, I want to get MA at Harvard or Yale. I compared the subject offerings between cooper union and cornell, but it seems that cornell provides more broad range of subjects about architecture. However, as Thom Mayne builds new building for cooper union, they have more open mind about art and architecture. I really can not decide between these two schools. I am in top 1% in the school, take manyy AP courses, but my SAT scores are not that excellent. Also I am ready for the portfolios. Which school would provide better chance or potentiality for the architecture?

i think both would be quite good...are you international? both have different rules regarding tuition & aid, TOEFL, application.... so it depends on that as well

Both are superb schools for architecture. For Cooper Union, they send you a home test, which is the most important factor for admissions into the architecture school.

However, the environment surrounding both schools couldn't be more different. At the end, that may be your deciding factor...
